Alex Feldman

The Eyewear Guru

Alex Feldman is CEO of the SF Optics enterprise, the top eyewear and optical retailer in the San Francisco Bay Area infamous for its styling consultation. Alex has developed a vast celebrity clientelle and he and his team have been accredited as talented celebrity stylists. Their styling expertise has even been used for photo shoots by prominent fashion magazines such as Cosmopolitan Magazine and C Magazine, as well as for fashion shows, several of which were coordinated and directed by Alex and SF Optics.

Alex received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He emphasized his studies in Vision Science and, as an undergraduate, conducted his own graduate level research project on visual perception.

Alex Feldman is Registered with the Medical Board of California and Certified by the Indiana University School of Optometry, OPAT, and the ABO.

Alex’s university studies began with business/economics and computer science, giving him insight into business management and marketing and preparing him for today’s web 2.0. Through his training, studies, and overseas travels including Europe and the U.K., he also became well versed in eyewear fashion, mastering the art of styling faces. His diverse educational background and experience has helped him grow SF Optics into a leader amongst luxury optical boutiques.

In 2010, Alex launched and designed the ALEXANDER DAAS eyewear collection. His collection quickly became successful and has been seen being worn by many celebrities and public figures. ALEXANDER DAAS is available in top optical boutiques from San Francisco to New York.

As a 2nd generation optical entrepreneur, Alex Feldman was groomed for leadership in this industry. He is also a published eyewear expert as the SF Eyewear Examiner for examiner.com.

Alex is very involved in his community and with non-profit work. He sits on the Board of the Marina Merchants Association and holds the elected position of President. He also works with Project Homeless Connect by providing free vision services to the homeless and less fortunate at their events.
