This is the result of eyewear being created by a true optician and eyewear stylist. Designed in San Francisco and handmade in Japan, this exclusive collection focuses on classic, modern, and timeless shapes in colors that are complimentary to the individual. And while the sunglasses stay true to high fashion, much of the collection, especially the ophthalmic frames, are designed to style hard-to-fit small faces.
Alexander Daas frames are made from the highest quality materials, using the finest Japanese zyl and Italian Mazzucchelli acetates. The smallest details such as the Italian hinges and German screws bring the eyewear’s integrity to life, and oversized sunglasses feature stop-hinges so that the temple tips are prevented from tapping the lenses.
The unique hexagonal cutouts at the temple tips of Alexander Daas frames not only symbolically define Daas, but also serve as secure connection points for the Daas eyewear chains. You can hang your frames on the signature pendent or reverse the chain and clasp the ends to the temple tip cut-outs, bringing back the practicality of old-fashioned eyewear retainers, but in a much more modern and fashionable way.
Alexander Daas frames also feature temple hinges that serve as the decorative signature of the collection. While the exterior presents an elegant and distinctive double-grooved bar, the pendent-matching signature design on the inside of every frame creates a unique and rich motif.
