Have Flex Dollars to use? Yahoo Finance explains why not to wait.

The last week of December is one of the busiest here at the store, and not because everyone wants to spend their Christmas money. Most of our clientele wait until the last minute to use their Flex Dollars, creating a giant traffic jam, both here at the store (don’t worry, we love it!), and in processing the claims (I don’t think they love it…). But according to Yahoo Finance, we should all be using our FSA Flex Spending as early in the year as possible. Pretax eyewear is fabulous, but not having to wait for a reimbursement for said eyewear is even more fabulous! Brian Wilson loves tacos and Alexander Daas Sunglasses!

San Francisco Giants closing pitcher Brian Wilson was a big part of the Giants FanFest this past Friday, February 4, 2012, and a big part of his interviews and presence was his bold pair of shades. The Giants FanFest media day is something that we always look forward to, but imagine our excitement when we saw him wearing his Alexander Daas model power sunglasses! He had just been in the store Wednesday when we styled him into these awesome frames, and also a big and bold pair of purple Mykitas. That’s right, real men wear purple! Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is looking forward to a bright 2012, and he was prepared as he celebrated New Years wearing Alexander Daas sunglasses. Check him out wearing style power!

The star of Jersey Shore and Dancing with the Stars was also spotted wearing his Alexander Daas Eyewear Chain several times over the past few weeks at bottle signing events for his Devotion Vodka brand and at the recent UFC Championship in Toronto.

Even Michael Sorrentino’s brother, Frank Sorrentino, has been spotted wearing Alexander Daas several times.

Last week, Jenny McCarthy tweeted SF Optics that she needed us to make her a new pair of glasses to present at the 39th Annual American Music Awards. With her prescription on file, and her dress style in mind, we picked out a frame that suited the occasion and complemented Jenny’s glow on stage.

Robert’s Marc of a Celebrity

Robert Marc is one of the most popular brands in Hollywood, with fans running the gamit from rap stars to serieous actresses and back again. We’re showcasing just a few of the celebrities who love Robert Marc as much as we do.

We’re starting off the day with P. Diddy. Here he is at the microphone in one of our favorite frames. He probably can’t see that well, given that he’s wearing them indoors, but he sure does look great!

Next, we have Mariah Carey. The new mother of two looks beautiful in a butterfly plastic frame that perfectly suites her face.

Changing pace here a bit, lets take a look at Nicole Kidman in her Robert Marcs. Robert Marc’s classic style so perfectly fits the Aussie’s ladylike look.

Another icon of classic style, Adrien Brody, poses playfully in his Robert Marc plastic aviators.

Here’s one of my personal favorites, Matt Damon. He looks great in anything, but those sunglasses are particularly flattering.

Finally, we finish up with Michelle Trachtenberg. Not quite as big of a name as the others, but these round sunglasses just look so darling on her.

From the aviation experts of the First World War to the celebrities of yesterday and today, Persol has never lacked in aficionados. Lets take a look at some of Persol’s biggest fans.

George Clooney looks great in his Persol 2243-s, but there’s no suprise there.

His Ocean’s 12 costar, the timeless Julia Roberts, also loves Persols, helping to break the “boys only” image.

Chanel Envy

Chanel. Just the one word is enough to bring to mind images of timeless beauty, classic style, and groundbreaking fashion. Chanel means many things to many people, but to us, it means flawless style.

Even pushed back on Anne Hathaway’s head, her Chanel 5012′s make a statement.

Britney saves a bad hair day with an awesome shield frame.

Dita Von Teese has such a wonderful vintage style that Chanel works perfectly to compliment. Here she is in her 4180s.

Now for our suprise guest, Lady GaGa. She may not be the most obvious Chanel wearer, but she coaxes a new vibe from a classic frame.

Golden Hearts turned Chrome

This week we are celebrating Chrome Hearts eyewear and the people who love them. This brand, founded in 1988 by Richard and Laurie Stark, originated making motorcyle gear, but as their fanbase widened, so did their collections. This bold and trendy brand is a favorite of both the rich and famous, and the famously rich.

Let’s start with Katie Holmes. Half of one of America’s favorite Hollywood power couples, Katie looks every bit the part in these rock star shield sunglasses.

Heidi Klum, our favorite German import, bundles up against the cold and protects her eyes with a sporty Aviator style frame. Take a style tip from the queen of the runway and don’t let a little snow rob your style!

Justin Chambers, one of the resident heart-throbs of Grey’s Anatomy, was caught dressing down in his Chrome Hearts “Erected.” Snow or Sun, keep those eyes covered!

Dr. 90210 (Robert Ray), the king of Hollywood cosmetic surgery, has been seen wearing his “Beast 3″ while working his rounds. Chrome Hearts go well with his stethoscope, don’t they?

Even the Country world is getting in on the Chrome Hearts trend. LeAnn Rimes has been crooning country toons since her early teenage years, but she’s proven she has more edge than we thought. Seen here in the “Double Tip.”

In case you need a second opinion, we have yet another doctor (albeit fictional) in our list. Omar Epps, one of the stars of House, is often seen in his Chrome Hearts glasses.

In addition to two fictional doctors and a real plastic surgeon, lets round out the list with a fictional plastic surgeon. Nip/Tuck’s Julian McMahon has been spotted in some great Chrome Hearts sunglasses.

49ers Salute to the Fleet – Candlestick Park, 49ers vs Tampa Bay – The Marine Band will be playing at the entrances while fans enter the stadium, The Coast guard will have a singer for The National Anthem for pre-game with two F-18s flying over. Halftime will consist of 150 future Marines/Sailors bringing out a large American Flag along with the Marine Band playing “Stars and Stripes Forever.” Following that, USN CF3 Captain Bryne will be doing a swear in on field for 20 future Marines/Sailors. Immediately after that, Air Force singer A1C Hokay will sing “God Bless the USA.”
