If you needed any further proof that San Francisco Optics on Chestnut is located in the greatest place, here it is! Today, the President of the United States of America visited right down the street from SF Optics in the Marina Green / Crissy Field.
After his visit to San Francisco this week, President Barack Obama chose the Marina as his point of departure. Many neighbors of the Marina and what looked like the entire SFPD got to wave President Obama goodbye as he and his crew boarded the Marine Corps helicopters right in the middle of the Marina Green and took off.
And of course, SF Optics got it all on camera for you. Check out the video below. The video is a little choppy, but this once in a lifetime opportunity was caught on camera by us. And please, keep in mind that we do not do any political endorsements so please don’t take this as such. We simply have pride in our nation and were happy to be visited by the President of the United States!

Here’s an interesting photo I recieved in my email today taken by NASA with their Hubble Space Telescope. It is called the Helix Nebula, a large planetary nebula in the sky, and is often referred to as The Eye of God.
Not a lot here related to eyewear, but it sure does look like an eye. Thought it would be an interesting picture to share, and an interesting beauty of nature to appreciate.
