He has revived the art of the handcrafted frame and subtly brands his eyewear with the trademarked Robert Marc hinge that is inspired by historical design and construction. This signature hinge adds distinction and luxury to each frame and unifies the collection.

The Robert Marc Collection is crafted with high-quality materials such as zyl (Italian acetate) and titanium. He is known for layering contrasting and complementary colors and patterns such as giraffe and leopard to create depth and glamour in each frame. Limited edition styles are crafted in small quantities and incorporate rare and luxurious materials such as crystals and miniature silver beads.

While each frame is unique, Robert Marc’s seasonal collections are themed, reflecting Robert’s artistic consciousness and imagination.

Robert Marc is recognized as a visionary in the world of eyewear. It was over twenty years ago that he opened his first shop, which was considered to be one of the very first high-end boutiques to bring eyeglasses to the forefront of fashion. Robert Marc was instantly acclaimed for presenting innovative luxury eyewear with exquisite displays and providing personalized service to offer the perfect eyewear for every customer. Today, there are nine Robert Marc boutiques located in New York City and Boston, each one reflecting Robert’s unique talent for product design, merchandising and quality service.

After designing and consulting on many of the world’s most successful premier eyewear collections, Robert launched his own signature collection of luxury eyewear in 1999, for which Vogue magazine announced, ‘Robert makes his Marc.’ This collection represents his vision towards the modern, classic and instantly recognizable. As a testament to his sophisticated designs and influence in elevating eyewear to its current position as a couture accessory, Robert was inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in 2001.

Robert Marc enjoys a loyal celebrity following who appreciate his tailor-made, ‘haute couture’ eyewear. Uma Thurman, Natasha Richardson, Liam Neeson, Susan Sarandon, Julianne Moore, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Nicole Kidman, Jamie Foxx, Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Nicole Richie and Jessica Simpson are a few of his clients. Over the years, Robert’s designs have turned up everywhere from the most fashionable metropolitan streets and designer runway shows to major motion pictures and television productions.

Upcoming film projects include: ‘Gray Matters’ (with Heather Graham and Bridget Moynahan), ‘The Ex’ (with Zach Braff and Amanda Peet) and ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ (with George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon). Recent television projects include: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘Brothers & Sisters’, ’24′, ‘Weeds’, ‘Nip/Tuck’, ‘The Sopranos’ and ‘CSI’.
