Like the millions of mourners across the world, the news of the death of Whitney Houston has deeply saddened and shocked us here at San Francisco Optics. Many of us have grown up listening to her music, and we are all feeling the loss. In honor of Whitney, we’ve gathered a few pictures of her in her favorite sunglasses. Rest in Peace Whitney!

While pop music has lost one of its Princesses, we all retain the memories of her beauty and talent.
Robert Marc is one of the most popular brands in Hollywood, with fans running the gamit from rap stars to serieous actresses and back again. We’re showcasing just a few of the celebrities who love Robert Marc as much as we do.
We’re starting off the day with P. Diddy. Here he is at the microphone in one of our favorite frames. He probably can’t see that well, given that he’s wearing them indoors, but he sure does look great!
Next, we have Mariah Carey. The new mother of two looks beautiful in a butterfly plastic frame that perfectly suites her face.
Changing pace here a bit, lets take a look at Nicole Kidman in her Robert Marcs. Robert Marc’s classic style so perfectly fits the Aussie’s ladylike look.
Another icon of classic style, Adrien Brody, poses playfully in his Robert Marc plastic aviators.
Here’s one of my personal favorites, Matt Damon. He looks great in anything, but those sunglasses are particularly flattering.
Finally, we finish up with Michelle Trachtenberg. Not quite as big of a name as the others, but these round sunglasses just look so darling on her.

We had the pleasure of doing a private after hours eyewear styling consultation with Jenny McCarthy! Not that she needs any introduction, but Jenny McCarthy is a model, actress, comedian, author, and a prominent activist for autism and parenthood – she’s a Mommy Warrior!
Jenny McCarthy started as a model for Playboy, quickly rising to fame and becoming both a Playmate of the Month and Playmate of the Year. She hosted the popular MTV dating show ‘Singled Out’ and the MTV sketch comedy show ‘The Jenny McCarthy Show’. And, Jenny McCarthy is a New York Times bestselling author, recently having released her newest book ‘Love, Lust & Faking It: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies, and True Romance’. We have to say, the book is hilarious!
During her private visit, Alex Feldman styled Jenny McCarthy into a pair of Chanel sunglasses (model 5185 color 11013b), a pair of prescription Chanel eyeglasses (model 3135 color C502) and a pair of prescription Robert Marc eyeglasses (model 206sm color 027). She looked absolutely stunning!

Sammy Hagar, The Red Rocker – a rock and roll icon!

Sammy Hagar got styled in Salt sunglasses, model Stuart, color Shiny Walnut. The Salt sunglasses are stylish and have great polarized sun lenses. They are great for the beach and other activities when it’s really bright since the polarized lenses cut out a lot of the glare.
Sammy Hagar got styled in Barton Perreira sunglasses, model Altair, color Silver with Eden lenses. The Barton Perreira sunglasses are chic with a trendy modified aviator shape. They are great when you just need a cool pair of sunnies to hang out on the strip and eat some lunch, hit the cafe, or go shopping … or when you’re drinking tequila at Cabo Wabo!
Sammy Hagar got styled in Robert Marc sunglasses, model 743, color 267. The Robert Marc sunglasses are trendy yet elegent. The gradient lenses make them perfect for that not so sunny day. Even when the sun is not bright, you must protect your eyes from the UV, and these lenses are perfect for that!
Sammy Hagar got styled in Persol sunglasses, model 2961s, color 811/31. The Persol sunglasses are a great piece to fill the plastic void. Sammy Hagar obviously appreciates the art of accessorizing, and with the other three sunglasses being metal, the fourth had to be plastic to come full circle. These Persols are a great classic shape and the blonde tortoise rocks with Sammy’s hair!

February has been an action-packed month for Robert Marc and Lunor with plenty of new celebrity sightings and press to keep our phones ringing.
Uma Thurman and her former fiancé, Arpad Busson, were recently seen rekindling their romance. Uma wore Lunor Cigar model 532 while Arpad wore Robert Marc style 618. It certainly looks like they see “eye to eye”, at least when it comes to eyewear!

Robert Marc has started off the fall season with some exciting celebrity spottings and credits! A few weeks ago, the stunning Nicole Kidman wore Robert Marc style 539 as she walked hand-in-hand with husband Keith Urban out of her NYC apartment.

Robert Marc Eyewear was also seen at this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards. Michael J. Fox, who recently won his 5th Emmy for his guest role on the drama “Rescue Me”, wore Robert Marc aviator style 717 on the red carpet at the Primetime Emmy Awards and Robert Marc ophthalmic style 219 during the show when he appeared on stage to present an Emmy.
